This thesis deals with the U.S. mortgage crisis and its impact not only the U.S., but especially on the economy and capital market in the CR. The first part focuses on the analysis of the mortgage crisis. At the end of this first section I am concerned with the impact of the crisis in the capital market in the U.S.. Táto práca sa zaoberá americkou hypotekárnou krízou a jej dopadom nielen na USA, ale najmä na ekonomiku a kapitálový trh v ČR. Prvá časť je zameraná na analýzu tejto hypotekárnej kríze. V závere tejto prvej časti sa venujem v skratke aj dopadu kríze na kapitálový trh v USA. Druhá a tretia časť je už zameraná na ČR.
