Impacts of Financial Crisis on Capital Market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the U.S. mortgage crisis and its impact not only the U.S., but especially on the economy and capital market in the CR. The first part focuses on the analysis of the mortgage crisis. At the end of this first section I am concerned with the impact of the crisis in the capital market in the U.S.. The second and third part is already focused on the CR. The second part deals with the capital market in the CR, particularly the stock exchange. I describe the history and beginning of the Prague Stock Exchange, I am also concerned with the supervision of capital markets, which is particularly at this time very important. The third part deals with the impact of financial crisis in the CR, not only on macroeconomic indicators, but here I describe the impact on the selected stock titles traded on the Prague Stock Exchange and the PX index also. In the end I am trying on the overall summary of the crisis in the CR and future trends.

Abstract:

Táto práca sa zaoberá americkou hypotekárnou krízou a jej dopadom nielen na USA, ale najmä na ekonomiku a kapitálový trh v ČR. Prvá časť je zameraná na analýzu tejto hypotekárnej kríze. V závere tejto prvej časti sa venujem v skratke aj dopadu kríze na kapitálový trh v USA. Druhá a tretia časť je už zameraná na ČR. V druhej časti sa venujem kapitálovému trhu v ČR, najmä burze cenných papierov. Popisujem tu históriu a vznik BCPP, zaoberám sa tu aj dohľadom nad kapitálovým trhom, ktorý je zvlášť v tejto dobe veľmi dôležitý. Tretia časť sa zaoberá dopadom finančnej kríze na ČR, a to nielen na makroekonomické ukazovatele, ale popisujem tu aj dopad na vybrané akciové tituly obchodované na BCPP a tiež aj index PX. Na konci práce sa pokúšam o celkové zhrnutie dopadu kríze na ČR a o prognózu budúceho vývoja.
