New trends in freight forwarding from the perspective of a selected sample of companies

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vymezit a popsat současné významné trendy v odvětví zasílatelství s důrazem na silniční přepravu zboží. V rámci tohoto cíle práce také popisuje reálnou aplikaci zmíněných trendů u dopravců. Na základě odpovědí dopravců lze vyvodit závěry pro obor zasílatelství. V práci jsou zmíněny nejen nové trendy v technologiích, jako jsou cloud computing, automatizace, umělá inteligence a elektromobilita, ale také nové trendy ve způsobu lepšího využití již dostupných prostředků, jako v případě konsolidace. Poslední téma práce představuje etický aspekt spojený s novými trendy.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to define and describe the current significant trends in the freight forwarding industry with emphasis on road transport of goods. Within this aim, the work also describes the real application of the mentioned trends by carriers. Based on the answers of carriers, conclusions can be drawn for the field of freight forwarding. The thesis mentions not only new trends in technologies such as cloud computing, automation, artificial intelligence and electromobility, but also new trends in the better use of already available resources, such as consolidation. The last topic of the work is the ethical aspect associated with trends.
