Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of activating learners in an English language class. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The main aim of the theoretical part is to introduce and define essential concepts concerning activating learners. Participants of active learning are introduced, target learners and their problems are defined and opportunities for active learning together with activating methods, teaching aids and organizational forms are put into context. The practical part introduces a case study which was carried out at a selected grammar school. One teacher and thirteen learners were involved in the research.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá aktivizací žáků v hodinách anglického jazyka. Celá práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické části. Hlavním cílem teoretické části je představit a definovat klíčové pojmy týkající se aktivizace žáků. Nejprve jsou představeni účastníci aktivního učení, dále pak cíloví žáci a jejich problémy jsou definováni. Teoretická část se dále zabývá příležitostmi pro aktivní učení spolu s aktivizačními metodami, učebními pomůckami a organizačními formami. Praktická část představuje případovou study, která se uskutečnila na vybraném gymnáziu. Jeden učitel a třináct žáků bylo zahrnuto do výzkumu.
