Education of a gifted student

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá nadáním a situací nadaného žáka ve vzdělávacím systému České republiky. V teoretické části práce je vymezen pojem nadání, tak jak jej definuje odborná literatura a jak jej vymezuje současná legislativa. Dále je pak podán ucelený pohled na proces rozpoznávání a identifikaci nadaných žáků a nabídnutí přehledu podpůrných opatření k jejich rozvoji. Pozornost je také věnována problémům nadaných žáků a jejich možné pomoci s výběrem vhodné školy a se zvolením vhodného výchovného přístupu. Hlavním cílem výzkumné části diplomové práce je charakterizovat a popsat vzdělávací proces konkrétního nadaného žáka a porovnat ho s obecnými charakteristikami a vlastnostmi nadaných žáků. Dílčím cílem práce je zmapovat, jak probíhá jeho každodenní vzdělávání a jak mu v tom pomáhá jeho rodina a škola. Dále pak nastínit, jaká jsou úskalí ve vzdělávání nadaného žáka a jak se takový žák cítí ve školním prostředí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of giftedness and with the situation of a gifted student in the educational system of the Czech Republic. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to define the concept of giftedness as defined in the literature and as defined by current legislation. Furthermore, to give a comprehensive view of the process of recognition and identification of gifted students and offer a compendium of supporting measures for their development. Attention is also paid to the problems of gifted students, their choice of appropriate school and also to selecting a suitable educational approach. The main aim of the research part of the diploma thesis is to characterize and describe the life of a particular gifted student and compare it with the general characteristics of gifted students. The part of the diploma thesis aims to reconnoitre student's everyday education and support of family and school. Another goal of this diploma thesis is to outline the difficulties of education of a gifted student and describe student's feelings in the school environment.
