Redesign of passive crossover for S115 loudspeaker

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je prostudovat teorii reproduktorových pasivních výhybek, řešení původní výhybky reproduktorové soustavy Yamaha S 115 a navrhnout výhybku novou, dosahující lepších parametrů a s dostatečným dimenzováním součástek. Důvodem pro návrh nové výhybky je nedokonalá konstrukce výhybky původní. V práci je prostudováno původní řešení výhybky a zjištěny její nedostatky. Dále je prostudována potřebná teorie pro návrh reproduktorových výhybek, která je následně využita při samotném návrhu. Jsou zjištěny a změřeny parametry použitých reproduktorů a ozvučnice. Podle nich je navržena nová výhybka, která je následně simulována, realizována a měřena. Výhybka je dvoupásmová, jsou použity druhé řády filtrů, je použita kompenzace indukčností kmitacích cívek reproduktorů, která v původní výhybce chybí. Oproti původní konstrukci je v nové kladen důraz na použití vhodných a kvalitních součástek.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study the theory of loudspeaker passive crossovers, the original solution of Yamaha S 115 loudspeaker crossover and to design a new crossover, to achieve better parameters and with sufficient dimensioning of the components. The reason for design the new crossover is the imperfect design of the original switch. In the thesis the original solution of the crossover is studied and there are detected deficiencies. Further, the necessary theory for designing of speaker crossovers is studied, which is used in the design. The parameters of used loudspeakers and the cabinet are found and measured. According to them, a new crossover is designed, simulated, realized and measured. The crossover is two-way, the second order of the filters is used, there is the compensation of the inductive characteristic of the speaker coils, in comparison with the original crossover. Compared to the original design, the emphasis is put on the using suitable and quality components.
