Bellove nerovnosti zohrávali kľúčovú úlohu vo formovaní teórie kvantovej mechaniky. Ich porušenie demonštruje, že kvantová mechanika nie je kompatibilná so žiadnou lokálne realistickou teóriou. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je otestovať kvantové počítače IBM so zameraním na špeciálny typ Bellových nerovností, naklonené CHSH nerovnosti a vyhodnotiť, či a do akej miery môžeme pozorovať porušenie naklonených CHSH nerovností na súčasných kvantových počítačoch. Práca pozostáva z troch hlavných častí. Prvou časťou je úvod do kvantovej mechaniky, kvantového počítania a kvantových počítačov všeobecne. Druhá časť je zameraná na pokročilú tematiku Bellových nerovností a ich vzťah s generátormi náhodných čísiel. Treťou časťou je implementácia, realizácia a vyhodnotenie experimentov na reálnych kvantových počítačoch. Porušenie naklonených CHSH nerovností bolo pozorované, ale len do určitej miery, presne ako bolo očakávané od nedokonalých kvantových počítačov.

Abstract:

Bell inequalities played a key part in forming the theory of quantum mechanics. Their violation demonstrates that quantum mechanics is not compatible with any locally realistic theory. The aim of this diploma thesis is to test IBM quantum computers with a focus on a special type of Bell inequalities, the tilted CHSH inequalities, and evaluate whether and to what extent we can observe tilted CHSH inequality violation on contemporary quantum computers. The thesis consists of three main parts. The first part is an introduction to quantum mechanics, quantum computing and quantum computers in general. The second part is focused on an advanced topic of Bell inequalities and their connection to random number generators. The third part is an implementation, execution and evaluation of experiments on real quantum hardware. The tilted CHSH inequality violation was observed, but only to a certain extent, which is exactly what was expected from non-perfect quantum computers.
