Cancer. The Life-Changing Disease (interviews for Czech magazine Vlasta)

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá charakteristikou žánru interview v časopisu Vlasta, pro který je určeno pět rozhovorů s osobami, kterým nemoc jménem rakovina vstoupila nějakým způsobem do života. Teoretická část popisuje onkologická onemocnění, představuje jejich historii, klasifikaci a seznamuje čtenáře s nejčastějšími sociálními a psychickými činiteli působící na pacienty s touto diagnózou (potažmo další osoby). Další část práce se zabývá specifiky interview vydaných v tomto médiu, jeho charakteristikou, postavením na mediálním trhu a zaměřením na cílovou skupinu. Následuje charakteristika žánru interview a nakládání s tímto žánrem v cílovém médiu, které bylo stanoveno polostrukturovanými rozhovory vedenými se členy redakce Vlasta. Tyto poznatky následně slouží při vlastní tvorbě interview v druhé, praktické části práce. Její podstatu tvoří pět rozhovorů s lidmi spojených s onkologickým prostředím: pacientkou, její dcerou, lékařem, zdravotní sestrou a psycholožkou. Následuje kritická reflexe vlastní práce a závěrečné zhodnocení.

Abstract:

The work focuses on the characteristics of the genre of interview in Vlasta magazine, based on five interviews with people influenced by cancer, written for the magazine. The theoretical part describes oncological diseases, their history and classification. It introduces the most common social and psychological factors affecting patients with this diagnosis and consequently other persons from their surroundings. The following chapter deals with the specifics of the interviews published in Vlasta magazine, its general characteristics, its position on the media market and its target group. The next chapter contains a description of the genre of interview and the way this genre is dealt with in the target medium. This was determined by half-structured interviews with Vlasta magazíne editorial staff. In the practical part of the work, the findings were used when making the author's own five interviews with people involved in the oncological millieu: a patient, her daughter, a doctor, a nurse and a psychologist. The final part of the work consists of the author's critical reflexion of her work, and a conclusion.
