Obsahem této práce je analýza bankovního sektoru v České republice. Po krátkém náhledu historie je zde popsán především vývoj centrálního a komerčního bankovnictví v ČR po roce 1989. Počty a druhy bank, jejich hlavní funkce a platná legislativa.
