Evaluation of the tourism potential of the destination Iran

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje cestovnímu ruchu v méně obvyklé destinaci cestovního ruchu, Íránu. Zabývá se jeho potenciálem a zjišťuje vnímání potenciálními návštěvníky. Mimo jiné zjišťuje faktory, které ovlivňují návštěvu této destinace. V první části práce je zpracován literární přehled, který vymezuje a objasňuje důležité pojmy související s tématem cestovního ruchu. Teoretická část, jako základ pro praktickou část, také popisuje a analyzuje samotnou destinaci Írán. Součástí analytické části práce je dotazníkové šetření. Získaná data jsou vyhodnocena metodou testování statistických hypotéz na základě p-hodnoty a následné analýzy vztahu mezi proměnnými pomocí neparametrického testu – Spearmanova koeficientu korelace. Na základě zjištěných poznatků a výsledků dotazníkového šetření jsou v závěru práce formulována doporučení pro poskytovatele služeb cestovního ruchu, která mají za cíl zlepšit vnímání této destinace.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on tourism in less common tourism destination, Iran. It deals with its potential and finds out the perception of potential visitors. It finds out the factors that influence visit to this destination among other things. There is a literature review elaborated in the first part of the work which defines and clarifies important terms related to tourism topics. The theoretical part, as a basis for the practical part, also describes and analyses the destination itself. There is a questionnaire survey included in the analytical part of the work. Obtained data are evaluated by the method of testing statistical hypotheses based on p-value and subsequent analysis of the relationship between variables using a non-parametric test - Spearman's correlation coefficient. Based on the findings and the results of the questionnaire survey, there are recommendations for tourism service providers formulated at the end of the thesis, which aim to improve the perception of this destination.
