Evaluation of ecological limits and health condition of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) and norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) in the area of Forest management Znojmo (Forests of the Czech Republic, s.p.)

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá hodnocením ekologických limitů a zdravotního stavu javoru kle-ne (Acer pseudoplatanus) a javoru mléče (Acer platanoides) ve škále vegetačních stupňů a edafických kategorií. Bylo provedeno biometrické terénní šetření v porostech starších 80 let a se zastoupením vybraných dřevin. Pro javor klen byly vybrány porosty na souborech lesních typů 2H, 3A, 3D, 3S a 3J a pro javor mléč 2B, 3A, 3B a 3J. Zdravotní stav obou druhů javorů byl zhodnocen jako dobrý, nebylo zjištěno významné biotické ani abiotické poškození. Byla prokázána variabilita růstových vlastností vybraných druhů v odlišných ekologických podmínkách. Jako nejvhodnější stanoviště se pro javor klen i javor mléč jevil soubor lesních typů 3J.

Abstract:

This work deals with the evaluation of ecological limits and health status of maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) and maple (Acer platanoides) in a range of vegetation levels and edaphic categories. A bionometric field survey was carried out in stands older than 80 years and with a representation of selected tree species. For the norway maple, stands were selected on sets of forest types 2H, 3A, 3D, 3S, 3J and for the sy-camore maple 2B, 3A, 3B, 3J. The health status of both species of maples was good, no significant biotic or abiotic damage was found. The variability of growth characteris-tics of selected species in different ecological conditions was proved. A set of forest types 3J seemed to be the most suitable habitat for both norway maple and sycamore maple.
