The modern architecture of the city of Duchcov and its didactic transformation for the teaching of art education at the 2nd grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá moderní architekturou mého rodného města Duchcova a její implementací do výuky výtvarné výchovy pro žáky 2. stupně základních škol. Na vybranou architekturu bylo vytvořeno a realizováno několik výtvarných jednotek, které jsem realizovala. Ty dále mohou sloužit učitelům základních škol jako inspirace pro výuku výtvarné výchovy se zaměřením na město Duchcov. Výtvarné jednotky se zaměřují na místa, která lze označit za významné památky města (např. Reinerova freska, secesní kostel Církve československé husitské nebo moderní nádraží). Teoretická část práce se věnuje obecným definicím jednotlivých pojmů a historickému vývoji města Duchcova. Cílem práce není vychovat nové architekty, ale především zvýšit povědomí veřejnosti, zejména žáků, jak důležité je pro nás prostředí, ve kterém žijeme.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the modern architecture of my hometown Duchcov and its implementation into art education for second stage elementary school students. I have created several artistic units focusing on selected architecture, which I have subsequently realized. These units can serve as an inspiration for elementary school teachers in teaching art education with a focus on the city of Duchcov. The artistic units concentrate on places that can be labelled as significant landmarks of the city (e.g. Reiner's fresco, the Art Nouveau church of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church or the modern railway station). The theoretical part of the thesis addresses general definitions of individual terms and the historical development of Duchcov. The objective of the thesis is not to educate new architects, but primarily to raise public awareness, especially among students, about the importance of the environment we live in.
