Analysis of Safe Operation of Resonant Earthed MV Network With High Capacity Current

Abstract:

Disertační práce se v úvodu zabývá velikostmi kapacitních proudů v sítích vysokého napětí a vysvětluje důvody jejich aktuálního nárůstu. Zbytkový proud zemního spojení během provozu sítě vysokého napětí s kompenzací zemních kapacitních proudů může být příčinou nebezpečného dotykového napětí, a proto práce dále uvádí způsoby jeho omezení. Hlavní zaměření je směřováno na metodu přizemnění postižené fáze, pro jejíž analýzu teoretická část vysvětluje výpočty simultánních poruch pomocí teorie dvojbranů. Výstupem je detailní zhodnocení účinnosti metody přizemnění postižené fáze včetně bilance výhod a nevýhod její praktické instalace. Na závěr disertační práce doporučuje způsoby provozu velkých kapacitních celků.

Abstract:

In the introduction, this PhD thesis deals with the analysis of capacitive current size in the resonant earthed middle voltage network and describes the reasons for its current increasing. The resonant earthed neutral system is possible to operate during the fault; however there is still a danger for the people in the vicinity of the fault place. This is because some fault current is residual and may cause a rise in the potential of the substation earthing system. For this reason, this thesis analyses the methods of reducing residual current. The main focus is on the system of earthing of affected phase through shunt resistor which needs the theoretical part with the simultaneous faults description using the two-port network theory. The output is the detailed assessment of shunt resistor efficiency including the advantages and disadvantages of its practical installation. In the conclusion, the PhD thesis also recommends the methods to operate middle voltage network with high capacity current.
