Flight activity of bats at the entrance od Kateřinská cave - automatic monitoring system
Abstract:
Sledovali jsme změny v letové aktivitě v průběhu noci a roku a vliv klimatických faktorů na aktivitu netopýrů ve vchodu jeskyně, která je významným zimovištěm (Kateřinská jeskyně, Moravský kras) pomocí infračervené průletové brány se záznamníkem. Zařízení umožňovalo rozlišit směr letu netopýra.
Abstract:
We investigated seasonal and overnight changes in flight activity and effects of climatic variables on activity patterns of bats at the entrance of a hibernaculum (Kateřinská cave, Moravian Karst, CZ). Activity was recorded automatically with a double infrared-light logging system, allowing discrimination between those bats leaving and those entering the cave.
