The authority of a teacher, the reasons of lack of discipline in children

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se zabývá autoritou pedagoga a důvody nekázně u dětí. V práci se nezaměřuji pouze na jeden typ školy, ale snažím se o širší vhled do problematiky. Nejprve se budu zabývat popisem pojmu pedagog, popíši jeho kvality, vlastnosti, dovednosti a později přihlédnu ke zmíněné autoritě. Objasním pojem autority, faktory které ji ovlivňují a v neposlední řadě popíši současné pojetí autority na středních školách. Ve spojitosti s autoritou jsem neopomenula zmínit ani vztah mezi učitelem a žákem či pojetí výchovného prostředí a druhy kázně. Práce obsahuje i empirickou část kde prezentuji výsledky výzkumu, který byl prováděn za pomocí rozhovorů a dotazníků. Cílem práce bude zjistit, co učitele vnímají jako důsledky nekázně u dětí a zda si vůbec dokáží autoritu vybudovat.

Abstract:

This bechelor's thesis deals with the authority of an educator as well as reasons of pupil's lack of discipline. In my study I do not focus merely on one particular type of school. My attempt is to provide an in depth insight into the subject of educational issues as such. Firstly I describe the term ''educator'', I define it's qualities, characteristics, abilities and finally I will define the term ''authority'' and describe factors which affect it. Last but not least I describe the current situation at todays high schools. Allong with authority I describe issues such as the relationship between a teacher and a pupil, education environment, and discipline models. My thesis includes an emprical part consisting of a survey based on interviews and questionnaires. The aim of this study is to discover what teachers consider to be the consequences of lack of discipline among pupils and asses whether teachers are capable of establishing authority in the class
