Motivation of Generation Y employees

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá motivací zaměstnanců generace Y. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak správně motivovat potenciální pracovníky z generace Y tak, aby podávali v zaměstnání co nejlepší pracovní výkon. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. V první teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se motivace zaměstnanců a generace Y. Ve druhé části je rozebrána metodologie, která je následně použita v praktické části pro získání výstupu. V praktické části je užita kvantitativní analýza a kvalitativní analýza. Využita bude metoda dotazníkového šetření a statistického zpracování dat. Podstatou práce je kompilace teoretických a praktických poznatků tak, aby se práce stala podkladem pro zaměstnavatele, kteří zaměstnávají nebo mají v plánu zaměstnávat pracovníky generace Y.Výstupem práce je souhrnné doporučení, které by mohli využívat zaměstnavatelé této generace, aby byli jejich zaměstnanci motivováni k vyšší pracovní výkonnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis examines motivation of Y generation employees. The aim of the work is to investigate key factors on how to motivate potentional Y generation employees to perform at their best in their jobs. For this purpose the work will be divided into three separate parts. In the first – theoretical part general terms commonly used in the field of generation Y employees will be defined. The second part will discuss the methodology later used in the third – practical part for obtaining the output through qualitative and quantitative analysis. For both – qualitative and quantitative analysis a survey method will be used followed by statistical data processing. The essence of this work is to compile theoretical and practical conclusions, so it can be used within employers who employ or plan to employ workers of generation Y. As a conclusion of this work a summary of requirements and recommendations will be given, defining key elements which companies should offer to their (generation Y) employees in order to motivate them to better performance.
