Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zmapovat míru psychické zátěže u nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků ošetřujících geriatrické pacienty. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 212 pracovníků z lůžkových geriatrických oddělení. Šetření bylo realizováno (11/2021-3/2022) ve třech zařízeních se zaměřením na gerontopsychiatrii, léčebnu dlouhodobé (LDN), léčebnu následné (LNP) a léčebnu ošetřovatelské péče (LOP). Pro výzkumné šetření byl použit Meisterův dotazník s doplňujícími otázkami. Výsledky: Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že ošetřovatelský personál na geriatrii při výkonu své profese zažívá 1. stupeň psychické zátěže, který neovlivňuje pracovní výkon ani zdravotní stav. Přesto personál nejhůře pociťoval dlouhodobou únosnost, při které nelze provádět práci po léta se stejnou intenzitou. Negativně vnímal i časový tlak a vysokou odpovědnost, což jsou položky dominujícího faktoru (FI) v péči o geriatrické pacienty. V tomto, ale i v ostatních faktorech připadly vyšší hodnoty i vyšší míra zátěže personálu na gerontopsychiatrii ve věkové kategorii 25-56 let. Naopak vyšší míru zátěže prožíval nejstarší personál nad 56 let z oddělení LDN, LNP, LOP. Závislost psychické zátěže byla potvrzena i v plánech změny oboru či odchodu ze zdravotnictví, zatímco závislost mezi délkou praxe a psychickou zátěží se nepotvrdila. Personál na geriatrii dosáhl ve všech faktorech psychické zátěže příznivějších hodnot oproti běžné populaci. Závěr: Psychická zátěž je u ošetřovatelského personálu do jisté míry všudypřítomná. I přesto, že péče o geriatrické pacienty je náročná, výsledky šetření zvýšenou zátěž nepotvrdily. Příznivé hodnoty však neznamenají vítězství a je nezbytné, aby se organizace nadále věnovaly zdrojům, které stres způsobují.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT Aim: The aim of the work was to map the level of mental stress in non-medical healthcare workers treating geriatric patients. Methods: The research group consisted of 212 nursing staff of inpatient departments with a focus on geriatric patients. The survey was carried out (11/2021-3/2022) in three selected facilities focusing on gerontopsychiatry, long-term care hospital (LDN), aftercare hospital (LNP) and nursing care hospital (LOP). The Meister questionnaire with additional questions was used for the research. Results: The investigation revealed that the nursing staff at the geriatrics department experience the 1st degree of psychological stress during the performance of their profession, which does not affect work performance or health status. Nevertheless, the staff felt the worst about long-term endurance, in which work cannot be carried out for years with the same intensity. He also had a negative perception of time pressure and high responsibility, which are items of the dominating factor (FI) in the care of geriatric patients. In this one, though in the other factors as well, higher values and a higher level of workload of the staff at gerontopsychiatry occurred in the age category of 25-56 years. On the contrary, the oldest staff over 56 years of age from the LDN, LNP, LOP departments experienced a higher level of stress. The dependence of psychological burden was also confirmed in plans to change fields or leave the healthcare sector, while the dependence between length of practice and psychological burden was not confirmed. The geriatric staff achieved more favorable values in all factors of mental stress compared to the general population Conclusion: Psychological stress is somewhat ubiquitous among nursing staff. Despite the fact that the care of geriatric patients is demanding, the results of the investigation did not confirm the increased burden. However, favorable values do not mean victory, and it is imperative that organizations continue to address the sources of stress.
