Manager's Lifestyle and Time-management

Abstract:

Cíl mé diplomové práce je prověření teoretických možností a zásad životního stylu a porovnání prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření se skutečným přístupem současných manažerů k jejich životu. Prověřuji různorodou skupinu manažerů z různých částí Čech a Moravy, ze čtyř různých firem coby zaměstnance, a dále skupinu živnostníků. Ti všichni odpovídali na mé dotazy. Abych vůbec byla schopná porovnávat zjištěné odpovědi, bylo nezbytné zjistit obecné pravdy a doporučení těch nejpovolanějších, tedy lékařů, dietních sester, psychologů a dalších odborníků. Podívala jsem se hlouběji na životosprávu jako na celek, co to vlastně znamená. Nejde jen o stravu a pitný režim, životospráva je celý náš život, přístup k němu, jak mnoho si ho vážíme, jak o sebe pečujeme fyzicky i mentálně, jak se udržujeme ve formě. Je to o pohybu, času na relaxaci, na drobné i velké radosti. Čas zastavit se, abych dokázala předběhnout ostatní. Současně mám za cíl prověřit i osobnost manažera, jaké existují typy osobností se specifickým přístupem k jejich životu, jelikož i to je součást životního stylu a tedy i životosprávy. V neposlední řadě i time – management do jisté míry vypovídá o životosprávě, o stanovených prioritách, o vnímání života.

Abstract:

The goal of my Diploma thesis is to revise theoretic possibilities and lifestyle principles, and, by means of a survey, to compare them with the real attitude of contemporary managers to their lives. I am studying a group of managers from different parts of Bohemia and Moravia, from four different companies, as for employees, and also a group of businessmen. They all answered my questions. To enable comparison of the answers it was necessary to find general rules and recommendations of the most competent people, i.e. medical doctors, diet nurses, psychologists and other specialists. I looked more closely at the lifestyle as a whole, at what in fact it means. Lifestyle is not only food and drinks, lifestyle is all our life, it is about our attitude to it, about how much we are grateful for it, it is about how much we take care of ourselves physically and mentally, how fit we keep ourselves. Lifestyle is about sport, it is about having some time to relax, it is about the time for large and small joys. It is about being able to stop to eventually outrun the others. At the same time my goal is to study the personality of a manager, which personality types with their particular attitude to life there are, as this, too, is part of our lifestyle. To some extent even time management tells us about our lifestyle, our priorities and the way we perceive life.
