Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá významným dílem ukrajinského exilového prozaika Ulase Samčuka - "Marija". Cílem práce je především román „Marija“ analyzovat z pohledu modernismu. V díle byly také analyzovány jazyk a styl románu, jeho ideová a kompoziční struktura a na příkladech bylo předvedeno, jaké žánry a směry v románu koexistují. Abstract:
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is primarily to analyze the novel "Maria" by Ulas Samchuk, a Ukrainian author, who during his life wrote in exile. The thesis also deals with a biography of the author and tries to concentrate on major events in his life.
