Diplomová práca pozostáva z troch častí. Prvá, teoretická casť, sa venuje problematike novín ako média, jeho minulosti, súčasnosti a predpokladaného smerovania do budúcnosti. Zaoberá sa tiež klasifikáciou novín a základom novinového designu.
