Anotácia:

Tato disertační práce je věnována studiu metrických konexí s paralelní torzí na Lorentzových varietách. To je motivováno nedávným pokrokem v Riemannově signatuře a možnými aplikacemi na teorie supergravitace. Práce se skládá z úvodní části a dvou článků napsaných v spoluautorství s vedoucím disertační práce. Úvodní část práce začíná uvedením základních definic a vlastností torze, včetně jejího vztahu k afinním strukturám, a poté se zabývá Bianchiho identitami, které hrají klíčovou roli při pochopení konexí s torzí. Je dan přehled nedávných výsledků. První článek je věnován metrickým konexím s paralelní antisymetrickou torzí. Poskytuje úplnou informaci o algebrách holonomie, torzi a křivosti uvažovaných konexí až na odpovídající objekty z Riemannovy signatury. Jsou předvedený různé příklady. Ukazuje se, jak konstruovat všechny jednoduše souvislé Lorentzovy přirozeně reduktivní homogenní prostory libovolné dimenze z Riemannových přirozeně reduktivních homogenních prostorů. To vede k úplné klasifikaci Lorentzových přirozeně reduktivních homogenních prostorů v nízkých dimenzích. Druhý článek popisuje Lorentzovy variety, které mají metrická konexí s paralelní torzí, jejichž twistoriální složka je nulová a vektoriální složka nenulová. Také popisuje Lorentzovy variety, které mají metrická konexí s uzavřenou paralelní antisymetrickou torzí.

Abstract:

This thesis is devoted to the study of metric connections with parallel torsion on Lorentzian manifolds. This is motivated by recent progress in the Riemannian signature and by possible applications to supergravity theories. The thesis is made up of the introductory part and two papers coauthored by the supervisor of the thesis. The thesis begins by introducing the basic definitions and properties of torsion, including its relation to affine structures, and then delves into the Bianchi identities, which play a crucial role in understanding connections with torsion. A survey of recent results is given. The first paper is devoted to metric connections with parallel skew-symmetric torsion. It provides complete information about holonomy algebras, torsion and curvature of the considered connections up to the corresponding objects from the Riemannian signature. Various examples are constructed. It is shown how to construct all simply connected Lorentzian naturally reductive homogeneous spaces of arbitrary dimension from Riemannian naturally reductive homogeneous spaces. This leads to complete classification of Lorentzian naturally reductive homogeneous spaces in low dimensions. The second paper describes Lorentzian manifolds that admit metric connections with parallel torsion having zero twistorial component and non-zero vectorial component. It also describes Lorentzian manifolds admitting metric connections with closed parallel skew-symmetric torsion.
