The identity of the young adult leaving the orphanage

Abstract:

This work Identity of young adults leaving foster homes is aimed at internal equipage with which these young adults enter from foster homes to self-reliant life. It’s devided into the theoretical and empirical part. The main line of theoretical part is created by two big the-mes which are meeting in one point. The first theme is related to asylum backround, specific definition of basic terms describing the situation in the Slovak Republic. In this point is this work conncted with the second line which is concentrated on identity, method how is the identity being created, its perception by individuum, various concepts of identity. These lines fill up theories about social handicap as an important determinant involving identity evolution of individuals placed in foster home. The research part contains narrative dialogues with respondents – joung adults who are leaving foster home. These dialogues are then analyzed by using the method of opened co-ding. The frame analysis was used for summing up of ascertained data. The last part is con-clusion where all process of exploration is summed up.

Abstract:

Práca Identita mladých dospelých odchádzajúcich z detského domova sa venuje vnú-tornej výbave, s ktorou vstupujú mladí dospelí z detských domovov do samostatného života. Je rozdelená na teoretickú a empirickú časť. Hlavnú líniu teoretickej časti tvoria dve veľké témy, ktoré sa stretávajú v jednom bode. Prvou témou je ústavná starostlivosť, konkrétne vymedzenie základných pojmov s popisom situácie v Slovenskej republike. V tomto bode sa prepája s druhou líniou, ktorou je identita. Spôsob jej utvárania, vnímanie jedincom, rôzne koncepty identity. Tieto lí-nie dopĺňajú teórie o sociálnom znevýhodnení ako významného determinanta pri rozvoji iden-tity jedincov umiestnených v detskom domove. Výskumná časť obsahuje naratívne rozhovory s respondentmi – mladými dospelými, ktorí opúšťajú detský domov. Rozhovory sú následne analyzované pomocou otvoreného kó-dovania a na zhrnutie zistených údajov bola použitá rámcová analýza. Poslednou časťou je záver, kde je celkovo zhrnutý proces bádania.
