Trade Theory and Transparency in the Sale of Timber on Public Market

Abstract:

Práce se hlavně zabývá transparentností prodeje dřeva na veřejném trhu, kde identifikuje hlavní problémy způsobující tuto situaci a k nim navrhuje možné formy řešení pro zlepšení této situace. Dále práce porovnává jednotlivé metody prodeje dřeva v České republice z hlediska vhodnosti jejich užití a transparentního jednání. Upozorňuje na jejich klady a zápory, hodnotí jejich hospodárnost a přehlednost.Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí – teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se práce věnuje teorii obchodu, jejím chronologickým vývojem a různými pohledy na mezinárodní směnu. Dále definuje obchod, jeho formy, a specifikuje dřevo jako předmět obchodu. Teoretická část je zpracována pomocí literární rešerše odborné literatury.Praktická část se věnuje problematice transparentnosti prodeje surového dřeva v České republice. Srovnává jednotlivé metody prodeje surového dřeva, upozorňuje na otázku správné hospodárnosti vlastníků a dále se zabývá zhodnocením a identifikací hlavních problémů v současné praxi obchodu s dřevní komoditou. Práce obsahuje návrhy řešení pro zlepšení aktuální netransparentní situace. Praktická část je zpracována na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s panem Mgr. Lukášem Horákem, jednatelem společnosti WOODPROJECT, s. r. o.

Abstract:

The paper deals mainly with the transparency of the sale of wood in the public market. Where to identify the main problems causing this situation and suggest possible ways to solve this situation. Furthermore, the thesis compares the different methods of wood sales in the Czech Republic in terms of the suitability of their use and transparent behavior. It highlights their pros and cons, evaluates their economy and clarity.The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the theory of trade, its chronological development and various perspectives on international exchange. It further defines trade, its forms, and specifies wood as a subject of trade. The theoretical part is based on an analysis of the specialized literature.The practical part deals with the issue of transparency of the sale of raw timber in the Czech Republic. It compares the individual methods of selling raw wood, highlights the question of the proper management of the owners and also deals with the evaluation and identification of the main problems in the current practice of trading in timber commodities. The paper contains proposals for solutions to improve the current non-transparent situation. The practical part is based on semi-structured interviews with Mgr. Lukáš Horák, Managing Director of WOODPROJECT, s. r. o.
