Iranian hip-hop subculture

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o íránské hip-hopové subkultuře. Sleduje vznik populární hudby a jeho vývoj po současnost a navazuje historií vzniku rap-e farsí, tedy íránského rapu. Zpracovává veškeré aspekty hip-hopové subkultury, včetně graffiti umění a breakdance. V práci je prováděna analýza subkultury jako celku a je zkoumána na základě výstupů umělců s největším důrazem na hudební produkci, která této subkultuře dominuje. Práce je prvním hlubším výzkumem íránské hip-hopové subkultury.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to introduce Iranian hip-hop subculture. First, it's focusing on historical origin of popular music in Iran and then the origin of Iranian rap music. Second, my intent is to show all aspects of hip-hop subculture with art side of graffiti and breakdance. I am trying to picture subculture trough the most important people who are its members, like Godfather of Iranian rap Hichkas, first Iranian female rapper Salome MC or first graffiti artist A1lone. Main goal is to introduce Iranian hip-hop subculture and build a ground for future researchers.
