European mathematicians' approaches to solving algebraic equations in the 17th and 18th century
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce Přístupy evropských matematiků 17. a 18. století k řešení algebraických rovnic se věnuje historickému kontextu hledání řešení algebraických rovnic a jednotlivým přístupům konkrétních matematiků. Text je uspořádán chronologicky a je v něm zobrazena řada konkrétních metod pro řešení algebraických rovnic.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis European mathematicians‘ approaches to solving algebraic equations in the 17th and 18th century deals with the historical context of searching for the solution of algebraic equations and with approaches of individual mathematicians. The organization of the text is chronological and there are many particular methods for solving algebraic equations.
