Abstract:

Cílem této práce je poskytnout přehled o problematice svobodné vůle a morální odpovědnosti. Práce je sestavena tak, aby poskytla komplexní vhled do problematiky. Vzhledem k rozsáhlosti tématiky a její vázanosti na další oblasti lidského vědění obsahuje práce poznatky z fysiky, psychologie a neurobiologie. V práci je dále rozebírán problém determinismu a jeho vlivu na svobodnou vůli. Další kapitoly pak tvoří systematický výklad teorií o svobodné vůli a morální odpovědnosti, jež se na ni váže. Poslední kapitola obsahuje zamyšlení autora nad problematikou a reflexi získaných poznatků.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of the issues of free will and moral responsibility. The structure of the work is devised in a way that a complex overview is provide to the reader. Due to the intertwinement of the free will debate with many scientific disciplines some findings from physics, psychology and neurobiology are presented. Then the concept of determinism is explored from various sides to learn about its impact on free will. Later chapters provide a systematic presentation of free will theories and moral responsibility bound to it. The last chapter contains thoughts and reflections of the author on concepts of free will and moral responsibility.
