Strategic spheres of cooperation in contemporary Russian-Chinese relations: Potential to a rapprochement or fears of one actor's dominance?

Abstract:

Moje bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na současné rusko-čínské vztahy a úroveň jejich vzájemné spolupráce ve strategických oblastech. Jsou zde zkoumány faktory mající nejvýznamnější vliv na formování vzájemných vazeb, nejdůležitější sféry kooperace na bilaterální i multilaterální úrovni a velký prostor je věnován také překážkám a limitům bránícím dalšímu posílení rusko-čínského partnerství. Cílem práce je prozkoumat potenciál k dalšímu rusko-čínskému sbližování, což by mohlo mít za následek významnou změnu rozložení sil v mezinárodním systému.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with contemporary russian-chinese relations and level of their strategic cooperation. There is an attempt to explore relevant factors shaping bilateral relations, the most important spheres of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation and big consideration is devoted to limits restraining next reinforcement of russian-chinese partnership. The main aim of this thesis is to examine a potencial of continuing russian-chinese approaching, which could cause a significant shift in distribution of power in the international system.
