Availability of accommodation for young families with children in the Liberec region 2010-2017

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku nízké dostupnosti bydlení – téma, které se za poslední roky dostalo do podvědomí společnosti hlavně z důvodu vysokých cen bytů a nájmů, na které řada lidí nedosáhne. Důvodem je nedostatek bytů, který je v současné době jedním z největších problémů na trhu s bydlením. Teoretická část práce se, kromě definice sociálního bydlení a náležitostí s ním souvisejících, věnuje především vývoji a cílům bytové politiky. V praktické části jsou pak diskutovány příčiny tohoto problému a možnosti, jakými se stát snaží podporovat nízkopříjmové osoby, za účelem získání vlastního bydlení. Cílem práce je analýza dostupnosti bydlení, a to konkrétně pro mladé rodiny s dětmi v Libereckém kraji. Výzkum prokázal, že aktuální situace v oblasti bydlení v Libereckém kraji je velmi problematická. Vysoké ceny bytů a nedosažitelnost hypotečních úvěrů má za důsledek, že mnoho mladých rodin na vlastní bydlení nedosáhne.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the issue related to the low availability of affordable housing. This topic has become the subconscious mind of society in recent years mainly due to high prices of properties and rents that many people cannot reach. The reason is the lack of flats, which is currently one of the biggest problems across the housing market. In addition to the definition of social housing and related matters, the theoretical part deals mostly with the development and objectives of housing policy. The practical section then discusses the causes of this problem and the ways how the government tries to support low-income people to acquire their housing. The thesis aims to analyze the availability of accommodation, specifically for young families with children in the Liberec region. Research has indicated that the current housing situation in the Liberec region is problematic. The high housing prices and the inability to reach mortgage requirements mean that many young families cannot afford their own home.
