Abstract:

Název této diplomové práce je "Jak měřit úspěšnost sportovní diplomacie?"Se sportovní diplomacií se velmi úzce pojí další teoretické koncepty, kterými jsou tedy měkká moc a veřejná diplomacie, které budou také krátce představeny v první části této diplomové práce. Následovat bude představení nástrojů sportovní diplomacie ve spojitosti s možnostmi měření sportovní diplomacie pomocí těchto nástrojů s čímž bude spojeno uvedení několika příkladů úspěšného a neúspěšného užití sportovní diplomacie státy. Na základě představení příkladů úspěšné a neúspěšné sportovní diplomacie vyvstává otázka jak moc, a na základě jakých kritérií bylo stanoveno, že byla sportovní diplomacie úspěšná či nikoliv. Na tuto otázku se pokusí odpovědět další část diplomové práce věnovaná představení možností měření úspěšnosti sportovní diplomacie dle Jiřího Zákravského (2020), který ve svém díle právě na toto poukazuje. Odkazuje zde na chybějící literaturu zabývající se obecným měřením úspěšnosti sportovní diplomacie. Na tuto kapitolu bude navazovat představení série odborných článků pojednávajících o sportovní diplomacii a v těchto již existujících textech bude zkoumáno, zda se již v některých vyskytují úvahy či možné způsoby měření úspěšnosti sportovní diplomacie.

Abstract:

The title of this thesis is "How to measure the success of sports diplomacy?" Sports diplomacy is closely related to other theoretical concepts, i.e. soft power and public diplomacy, which will also be briefly introduced in the first part of this thesis. This will be followed by an introduction of the tools of sport diplomacy in connection with the possibilities of measuring sport diplomacy using these tools, which will be followed by the presentation of several examples of successful and unsuccessful use of sport diplomacy by states. Based on the presentation of examples of successful and unsuccessful sports diplomacy, the question arises as to how much, and on what criteria, it was determined that sports diplomacy was successful or not. This question will be attempted to be answered in the next part of the thesis, which is dedicated to presenting the possibilities of measuring the success of sports diplomacy according to Jiří Zákravský (2020), whose work points to this very point. He refers here to the missing literature dealing with the general measurement of the success of sports diplomacy. This chapter will be followed by the presentation of a series of scholarly articles dealing with sports diplomacy and will examine whether there are already considerations or possible ways of measuring the success of sports diplomacy in some of these existing texts.
