Anotácia:

Cieľom tejto práce je analyzovať presvedčovacie stratégie vo verejných prejavoch vybraných premiérov Britskej Konzervatívnej strany a preskúmať vplyv spoločensko-historických okolností na výber presvedčovacích stratégií. Analýza prejavov využíva dva analytické rámce, a to Aristotelove rétorické apely a Hodnotiaci rámec so zameraním na koncept gradovateľnosti. Práca ďalej skúma vplyv sociálno-historických kontextov na výber presvedčovacích stratégií použitých v prejavoch z vybraných historických období a socio-kultúrnych prostredí.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to analyze the persuasive strategies employed by British Conservative politicians in their public speeches and examine the impact of the socio-historical circumstances on the choice of the strategies. The study utilizes two analytical frameworks, Aristotle's rhetorical appeals and the Appraisal Framework, with its Graduation concept. Furthermore, the study examines the socio-historical impact on persuasive strategies by analyzing speeches from selected time periods and sociocultural backgrounds.
