Ordoliberalism and "The German Economic Miracle"

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce stručně zachycuje myšlenky učení freiburské školy a jejího hlavního hospodářského směru, který se nazývá ordoliberalismus. Na začátku jsou detailně zachyceny některé hlavní myšlenky a veškeré konstitující a regulující principy soutěžního řádu, podle čelního představitele Waltera Euckena. Dále je popsána situace po válce a v té době stále zaběhlý princip centrálně plánované ekonomiky. Následuje kapitola pojednávající o provedených reformách, především pak o reformě měnové a jejím "otci" Ludwigu Erhardovi. Poté se práce věnuje shrnutí reforem, popisuje onen "německý hospodářský zázrak" v číslech, jako je růst hospodářství, pokles nezaměstnanosti a podobně. V poslední části autor uvažuje nad přenesením oněch ordoliberálních zásad do současnosti a jejich využitelnost v dobách československé transformace

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis briefly reflects ideas of Freiburg school and it's main economic direction called ordoliberalism. At the beginning, some of the main ideas and all the constituent and regulating principles of the competition rules are captured in detail, according to Walter Eucken, the forerunner. Than the situation after the war and still the actual principle of the centrally planned economy is described. The following chapter is about the reforms that have been done, especially the currency reform and it's "father" Ludwig Erhard. Then, the work summarise the reforms, describes the "German economic miracle" in numbers, such as the growth of the economy, the decline in unemployment rate etc. In the last part, the author considers the transfer of those ordoliberal principles to the present and their usability in the times of Czechoslovak transformation.
