Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Principy estetiky totalitarismu v kontextu nacismu a stalinismu“ se zaměřuje na problematiku vztahu totalitarismu a estetiky, přičemž se snaží definovat, srovnáním dvou konkrétních příkladů totalitárních režimů, tedy stalinského Sovětského svazu a nacistické Třetí říše, jaké jsou společné principy estetiky totalitarismu, a kde je možné hledat mezi těmito režimy paralely ve vztahu k umění, kultuře a estetice. Tyto paralely nachází v principech jako realismus, monumentalita, masovost, teatralita a mytičnost, které jsou společné oběma režimům, což je dokazováno nejen v teoretické části, ale také na konkrétních příkladech.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis “Principles of aesthetics of totalitarianism in the context of Nazism and Stalinism” focuses on the problematic relationship of totalitarianism and aesthetics. Comparing two particular examples of totalitarian regimes, which is Stalinist Soviet Union and Hitler’s Third Reich, this thesis, tries to define shared principles of aesthetics in totalitarianism. It also looks for the definition of the relationship of such regimes with art, culture and aesthetics. It is possible to find such parallels in principles like realism, monumentality, mass culture, theatricality and mythological bases. Those principles are shared by both regimes as it is showed in both theoretical part and specific examples.
