Práce se zabývá historií i současným vývojem ekonomik Malajsie a Filipín. Hledá důvody ekonomické zaostalosti Filipín, dále se zaměřuje na dopady krizí, otázku chudoby a implementaci nových politik. The work deals with the history and current development in the economies of Malaysia and the Philippines. It focuses on causes of economic underdevelopment of Philippines. Afterwards it targets the impacts of crises, the issue of poverty and the implementation of new policies in both countries. The work is diveded into five chapters.
