Zahraniční politika Spojených států doznala v novém tisíciletí několik změn. Poslední z nich nastolil prezident Obama, kdy deklaroval svůj tzv. pacifický pivot. United States foreign policy was forced to change in the new millennia. Last big change was conducted by president Obama, when he declared so called pacific pivot. Washington showed that United States are no longer willing to engage itself in future conflicts outside strategic regions. This attitude got a name Leading from Behind.
