Vulnerability management and its solution in corporation

Abstract:

V práci bude popsán vulnerability management v kontextu informační bezpečnosti. Cílem práce bude vytvoření automatizace procesu správy zranitelností v rámci IT infrastruktury vybrané korporace. Přínosem této práce bude analýza procesu správy zranitelnosti ve velké společnosti a následný návrh a realizace automatizace. Práce bude strukturovaná do teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část bude obsahovat uvedení do bezpečnosti, seznámení se zranitelnostmi, popis vulnerability managementu a osvědčených postupů, jak se řeší. Praktická část se zaměří na IT prostředí konkrétní společnosti a návrh a řešení procesu řízení zranitelností pomocí automatizace.

Abstract:

The vulnerability management in the context of information security will be described in this thesis. The aim of the thesis is creating automatization process of vulnerability management within IT infrastructure of chosen corporation. The main contribution of this thesis will be the analysis of vulnerability management within large corporation followed by proposition of automation implementation. The thesis will be divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part will contain introduction into security and vulnerability, description of vulnerability management and proven procedures that deal with vulnerability management. Practical part will focus on IT environment of a specific company and proposition of managing process of vulnerability management by means of automation.
