Roman Civil Structural Techniques and Materials in the Provinces Britannia and Gallia
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o základních římských civilních stavebních technikách a materiálech na území provincií Britannia a Gallie. Ze stavebních materiálů se zabývá především pálenou a nepálenou hlínou, dřevem, kamenem a maltou. Stavební techniky pak reprezentují různé typy zdiva, jeho úpravy a podlahy. Práce čerpá především z anglické a francouzské archeologické literatury.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis is concerned with basic Roman civil structural techniques and materials in the provinces Britannia and Gallia. Within building materials it deals primarily with baked and unbaked clay, wood, stone and mortar. Building techniques are represented by various types of walling, treatment of walls and floors. Thesis draws mainly from English and French archaeological literature.
