Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá studiem evoluční ekologie afrických anuálních halančíků rodu Nothobranchius. Tyto ryby jsou adaptované pro přežití v extrémním habitatu vysychajících tůní v africké savaně. Výskyt těchto tůní je omezený na období každoročních dešťů, v období sucha jsou tyto tůně vyschlé. Present dissertation thesis describes the study of the evolutionary ecology of African annual killifish from genus Nothobranchius. These fish are adapted to survive in an extreme habitat of African savannah temporary pools.
