Post-traumatic interventional care in the Police of the Czech republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývala problematikou posttraumatické intervenční péče v Policii České republiky se zaměřením na Krajské ředitelství policie hl. m. Prahy. Cílem práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jak vnímají policisté Krajského ředitelství hl. m. Prahy současný vytvořený systém posttraumatické intervenční péče z hlediska jeho využití samotnými policisty? Práci tvořily dvě stěžejní oblasti. Jednalo se o část teoretickou, která s pomocí odborných zdrojů vymezovala důležité pojmy vztahující se k výzkumnému tématu, zejména psychickou zátěž, stres, trauma, krizi, policejní profesi a její náročnost a systém posttraumatické intervenční péče. Metodologická část je zaměřena přímo na výzkum mezi policisty Krajského ředitelství policie hl. m. Prahy. Pomocí rozhovorů byly zjišťovány aktuální názory a postoje policistů vztahující se k danému tématu. Vyhodnocené rozhovory a informace z nich plynoucí posloužily ke stanovení závěru, odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a vyústily v navrhovaná opatření, jejichž smyslem je zvýšení účasti na systému posttraumatické intervenční péče ze strany policistů.

Abstract:

The thesis dealt with the topic of post-traumatic intervention care in the Police of the Czech Republic focusing on Regional Directorate of Czech Police of capital city of Prague. It aimed to answer the main question: How policemen of the Directorate of Czech Police of capital city of Prague perceive the current developed system of post-traumatic intervention care in terms of its use by individual policemen? The thesis consisted of two key areas. One was the theoretical part, which defined, with the help of expert sources, the important concepts related to the research topic, especially mental stress, stress, trauma, crisis, police profession and its demandingness and system of post-traumatic intervention care. The methodological part is directly focused on research among policemen of the Regional Directorate of Czech Police of capital city of Prague. Based on interviews there are collected current views and attitudes of police officers related to the topic. The information ascertained from interviews was used to draw a conclusion, answer to main research question and became the basis for measures proposed in the area of increased utilization of post-traumatic intervention care on the part of the policemen.
