Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá jedním ze spolků, které vznikaly na území Čech od 19. století do počátku druhé světové války. Spolek nesl název Národní jednota pošumavská. Ve své činnosti se snažil podporovat češtství v oblastech, kde mnohdy převládalo německé obyvatelstvo. Bohatá činnost organizace zahrnovala podporu poměrně rozsáhlého území česko-německého pohraničí. Národní jednota pošumavská velmi účinně pomáhala mj. při zřizování českých škol a při získávání zaměstnání pro české občany v pohraničí.

Abstract:

The Magister?s thesis revolves around one of the societies that were established in the Bohemian Region in the era from the 19th century till the beginning of WW2. This society was called The Czech National Society of the Šumava Region. The aim of its work was to support Czech national feeling in the areas where German population was often prevalent. Various activities of the society covered the support of the relatively vast region of the Czech-German border area. The Czech National Society of the Šumava Region was very effective in helping e.g. with the establishment of Czech schools and with the search for employment of Czech citizens in the border area.
