Venture Capital and Private Equity Investment

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje venture kapitálu a private equity nejprve jako investici. Jsou představeni investoři, odlišeny různé typy investičních společností a jimi spravované fondy. Je objasněn vzájemný vztah mezi těmito subjekty. Z pohledu podniků se jedná o alternativní formu financování, a proto se práce zabývá také profilem podniku vhodného pro venture capital a private equity a jeho propojením s investičním fondem. Aplikační část pak mapuje investiční aktivitu v České republice a zjištění o úrovni a struktuře investic jsou dále analyzována na základě vybraných faktorů podnikatelského prostředí a investičního klimatu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with venture capital and private equity from investor's point of view first. There are presented different types of investors, management companies and funds and the relation among these subjects. Venture capital and private equity is an alternative to finance business activities from the entrepreneurial perspective and this paper provides profile of an appropriate company and explains the relation between the investment fund and the company. The analytical part focuses on investment activity in the Czech Republic and the findings about level and structure are analysed with regard to selected factors from business and investment environment.
