Bakalářská práce se snaží zachytit klíčové momenty v historickém vývoji požární ochrany a Hasičského záchranného sboru ČR a to od prvních zmínek v jednotlivých etapách dějin, až po současnou dobu. Věnuje se stěžejním právním předpisům, které výrazným způsobem ovlivnily další vývoj, jak v dobrovolných, tak profesionálních organizacích.
