Attitude of Social Workers and Clients Towards Application of Positive Psychology in Social Work with Long-term Unemployed People over 50 Years of Age

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na téma postoj sociálních pracovníků a klientů k využití pozitivní psychologie v sociální práci s dlouhodobě nezaměstnanými lidmi ve věku nad 50 let. V teoretické části je definována dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost, sociální práce, pozitivní psychologie a další teorie sociální práce, které obsahují prvky pozitivní psychologie. Součástí teoretické části je i podrobný popis konceptu postoje. Metodická část rozpracovává techniky sběru a analýzy dat. Jde o kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii s technikou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. V interpretační části se nachází analýza a interpretaci získaných dat pomocí otevřeného a axiálního kódování. V závěru práce je zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka, jsou uvedena doporučení pro praxi a návrhy dalších výzkumů.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the topic of attitude of social workers and clients to positive psychology in social work with the long-term unemployed people over 50 years age. The theoretical part is defined by long-term unemployment, social work, positive psychology and other theories of social work, which contain elements of positive psychology. In the theoretical part there is defined also detailed description of the concept of attitude. Methodological part elaborates techniques of collecting and analyzing data. It is a qualitative research strategy with a semistructured interview technique. In the interpretive part is the analysis and interpretation of data obtained through open and axial coding. In conclusion, is answered the main research question, there are recommendations for practice and proposals for further research.
