Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá jednáním mezi Evropskou unií a Mercosurem o Dohodě o zóně volného obchodu mezi těmito dvěma bloky. Cílem této práce je zjistit, kterou z rolí přijal Evropský parlament za svou během vyjednávání. Zda se choval podle předpokladu jako environmentální šampion, či naopak jako liberálně ekonomický aktér. Pro účely této práce autorka vychází z teorie rolí, která nejlépe slouží stanovenému cíli. K zodpovězení výzkumných otázek a ke zpracování dat je použita jako metoda obsahová analýza.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the negotiations between the European Union and the Mercosur on the Agreement about Free Trade Area between those two actors. The aim of this thesis is to find out which of the roles the European Parliament adopted during the negotiations. Whether it behaved as expected as an environmental champion or, on the contrary, as a liberal economic actor. For the purposes of this thesis, the author used the role theory, which best serves to address the aim. Content analysis is used as method to answer research questions and process data.
