Strategic Plan for the Organization AEGEE-Brno

Abstract:

Občanské sdružení AEGEE-Brno, o.s. je neziskovou organizací, součástí sítě poboček největší evropské interdisciplinární asociace AEGEE. Předmětem magisterské diplomové práce Strategický plán organizace AEGEE-Brno je představení prvního funkčního strategického plánu této neziskové organizace, který se v průběhu její existence projevil jako nezbytný úkon k zlepšení fungování a možnosti dalšího rozvoje organizace. Cílem práce je analyzovat její dosavadní činnosti a na základě této analýzy navrhnout možnosti jejího dalšího směřování a vývoje. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř celků. První část popisuje co to vůbec je AEGEE, její význam, historii a strukturu, druhá část pojednává o občanském sdružení AEGEE-Brno, o jeho historii, struktuře a aktivitách. Tématem další kapitoly je vysvětlení pojmů a procesu strategického plánování v neziskovém sektoru a poslední část Strategický plán AEGEE-Brno představuje samotnou analýzu současného stavu organizace, které vede ke stanovení cílů a strategií vedoucích k jejich naplnění. Práce dále navrhuje konkrétní postupy, a opatření, které k vytvoření strategického plánu směřují, stejně jako i jeho nákladovou stránku.

Abstract:

The civic association AEGEE-Brno, o.s. is a non-profit organization incorporated within the network of Europe’s largest interdisciplinary association, the AEGEE – European Students’ Forum. The subject of the master thesis Strategic Plan for the Organization AEGEE-Brno is an introduction of the first functional strategic plan for this non-profit organization, a step which has become necessary in the course of the organization’s existence in order to improve its functioning and further development. The aim of this thesis is to analyse its existing activities and processes and on the basis of this analysis to suggest possibilities for its future direction and development. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction to AEGEE, its significance, history, and structure. The second deals with the civic association AEGEE-Brno and its history, structure and activities. The focus of the third chapter is to explain concepts and processes of strategic planning in the non-profit sector. The final chapter, entitled Strategic Plan of AEGEE-Brno, presents the actual analysis of the current state of the organization, leading to the setting of goals and the strategies to achieve them. The thesis also proposes factual procedures and measures for formulating the strategic plan as well as its costs.
