Crowdfunding, as a way of start-ups financing

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá novým způsobem financování, který je stále populárnější u nových kreativních projektů a startupů. Tento způsob financování se nazývá crowdfunding a jeho podstatou je, že start-upy získávají finance na svůj rozvoj od více menších investorů. Záleží tedy hodně nejen na samotném projektu, ale také na schopnosti zakladatelů nalákat více investorů a projekt propagovat správným způsobem a na správném místě. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je připravit konkrétní návrh crowdfundingové kampaně pro vybrané portály. Dílčím cílem je zhodnocení crowdfundingového prostředí metodou analýzy a komparace ve světě a ČR. Teoretická část se věnuje základním pojmům spojených s crowdfundingem. Rozebírá se zde právní úprava, historie, ale i význam na světovém a českém trhu. Rovněž je jedna kapitola věnována start-upu, jelikož i tomu se bude práce dále věnovat. V další kapitole práce seznamuje s formami financování projektů pomocí crowdfndingu a také tomu, co volbu financování ovlivňuje. Tyto faktory mohou ovlivnit i výšku investic či počet investorů. V praktické části je poté popsán průběh realizace projektu. Nejdříve je nutné vybrat správně platformu, poté připravit časové a finanční plány a zvolit vhodnou propagaci. Klíčová je i volba podpůrných materiálů a úvodní strany. V závěru nesmíme opomenout odměny, skrze které jsou zpětně uspokojeni původní investoři. V praktické části připraví autor vlastní projekt “VRmall”, ke kterému navrhne strategii pro crowdfunding. Zvolí vhodnou platformu dle charakteru projektu, připraví plány, úvodní stranu i propagaci. Dále také s tím, co musí investor před uvedením projektu připravit, a jak se takto financované projekty odlišují od projektů jiných. V neposlední řadě bude cílem připravit vlastní projekt a rozhodnout, jaká z autorovi blízkých zemí je lepší pro crowdfundingové financování.

Abstract:

This work explores a new method of financing that is becoming increasingly popular for new creative projects and startups. This method of financing is called crowdfunding and its essence is that start-ups raise funds for their development from multiple smaller investors. So a lot depends not only on the project itself, but also on the founders' ability to attract more investors and promote the project in the right way and in the right place. The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to prepare a concrete proposal for a crowdfunding campaign for the selected portals. The sub-objective is to evaluate the crowdfunding environment by the method of analysis and comparison in the world and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts related to crowdfunding. The legal regulation, history, as well as the significance on the world and Czech market are analysed here. One chapter is also devoted to start-ups, as this will also be further discussed in the thesis. In the next chapter, the thesis introduces the forms of financing projects through crowdfunding and what influences the choice of financing. These factors can also influence the amount of investment or the number of investors. The practical part then describes the process of project implementation. Firstly, it is necessary to choose the right platform, then to prepare timelines and financial plans and to choose the appropriate promotion. The choice of supporting materials and the homepage is also key. Finally, we must not forget the rewards through which the original investors are satisfied. In the practical part, the author will prepare his own project "VRmall", for which he will propose a crowdfunding strategy. He/she will choose a suitable platform according to the nature of the project, prepare the plans, the homepage and the promotion. He will also explain what the investor has to prepare before launching the project and how projects funded in this way differ from other projects. Last but not least, the goal will be to prepare the actual project and decide which of the author's countries is better for crowdfunding.
