Japanese way of company management - Genchi Genbutsu and Kaizen methods

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá Japonským způsobem řízení podniku a to především s využitím základních metod Genchi Genbutsu a Kaizen. Hlavní hypotézou je možnost úspěšného využití těchto metod i mimo japonské prostředí. Teoretická část se zabývá pohledem do historie Japonska, především z důvodu pochopení japonské kultury a Japonců samotných tak jak je známe dnes. Dále pak krátkou úvahou nad obecnou podnikovou kulturou a následně nad kulturou japonských společností. V neposlední řadě popisuje již zmíněné metody Genchi Genbutsu, Kaizen a některé související, jako například 5W nebo PDCA. Aplikační část se věnuje praktickému použití nástrojů zmíněných v teoretické části v konkrétním japonském a konkrétním českém podniku. Závěrečná část hodnotí, zda bylo dosaženo hlavních cílů této práce, a dále nabízí doporučení, jakých chyb se vyvarovat při aplikaci japonského způsobu řízení v jiném než japonském prostředí.

Abstract:

The work deals with the Japanese way of business management, especially using the basic methods of Genchi Genbutsu and Kaizen. The main hypothesis is the possibility of successful use of these techniques outside the Japanese market. The theoretical part deals with looking into the history of Japan, mainly due to the understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese themselves, as we know them today. Furthermore, a brief consideration of the general corporate culture and then the culture of the Japanese companies. Finally, it describes the above mentioned methods of Genchi Genbutsu, Kaizen and certain related, such as 5W or PDCA. Application part deals with the practical tools mentioned in the theoretical part in a particular Japanese and Czech company. The final section assesses whether they have achieved the main goals of this work, and offers recommendations on what mistakes to avoid when applying the Japanese management mode than in a different Japanese environment.
