Diplomová práce definuje ve své úvodní části pojmy senior, stáří a stárnutí a také je periodizuje, dále zde uvádí změny, které se pojí se samotným procesem stárnutí. Řeší otázku kvality života ve stáří, usiluje o odhalení významu vzdělávání pro seniory a upozorňuje na nedostatky týkající se tohoto typu vzdělávání. Abstract:
The diploma thesis defines concepts of a senior, old age and ageing in its introduction and it also periodises them, furthermore it introduces changes connected with a process of ageing itself. It deals with an issue of quality of life in old age, it pursues revealing the importance of education for seniors and it highlights flaws related to this kind of education.
