Sex trafficking as an international threat in the territory of the European Union

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice obchodování s lidmi za účelem sexuálního vykořisťování se zaměřením na země Evropské unie. Cílem této práce je zmapovat a zhodnotit, jaká opatření přijala Evropská unie a jak jsou účinná. V teoretické části se práce věnuje podstatným teoretickým poznatkům a praktická část zkoumá vývoj problematiky ve vztahu k členským zemím a zkoumá úspěšnost jednotlivých kroků Evropské unie v boji proti obchodování s lidmi. Na závěr jsou doporučení, jak by Evropská unie měla v boji dále postupovat a jaké další hrozby brát v potaz.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of trafficking in human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation with a focus on the countries of the European Union. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate what measures the European Union has taken and how effective they are. In theoretical part the thesis focuses on important theoretical knowledge about the issue. The empirical part examines the development of the issue in relation with member states and analyses the result of individual steps taken by European Union in in the fight against sex trafficking. Conclusion includes recommendations how the European Union should proceed in the fight and what threats should be taken in consideration.
