Influence of autogenic training on the psycho-motoric function in patients with Parkinson disease

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá vliv lokálních a celkových relaxačních technik na psychomotorický stav pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí v experimentální skupině v porovnání se srovnávací skupinou, která absolvovala léčebnou rehabilitaci v základním rozsahu. K vyšetření motorických funkcí pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí obou skupin byla použita Jednotná škála pro hodnocení Parkinsonovy nemoci (UPDRS). Kognitivní a psychické funkce byly vyšetřovány v rámci obou skupin pomocí Testu psychických funkcí (MMSE). Subjektivní zhodnocení psychomotorických funkcí bylo vyjádřeno pacienty experimentální a srovnávací skupiny v dotazníku Mapa osobní pohody při Parkinsonově nemociTM. Tyto hodnotící škály byly součástí přijímacího vyšetření k hospitalizaci u každého pacienta před začátkem léčebně rehabilitačního procesu a následně před dimisí. Z výsledných rozdílů hodnot vstupních a výstupních vyšetření výše zmíněných dotazníků byl zkoumán efekt celkových a lokálních relaxačních technik na psychomotorické funkce pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí. Výsledky testovacích škál nepřinesly statisticky významné závěry o vlivu relaxačních technik na psychomotorický stav pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí experimentální skupiny v porovnání s psychomotorickým stavem pacientů skupiny srovnávací. Zároveň bylo zjištěno, že Jednotná škála pro hodnocení Parkinsonovy nemoci je nejcitlivější ve vztahu k hodnocení motorických funkcí pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the influence of local and general relaxation techniques for the psycho motoric condition of patients with Parkinson's disease in the experimental group compared to the control group. The control group underwent rehabilitation in the basic range. To evaluate the motor functions of patients with Parkinson's disease in both groups we used the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS). Cognitive and psychological functions were examined in both groups using the MMSE. Subjective evaluation of psychomotor functions was expressed by the patients of the experimental and control group in the questionnaire "Mapa osobní pohody při Parkinsonově nemoci". These scales were part of the admission examination for hospitalization in each patient before the rehabilitation process began and thereafter diminished. The effect of general and local relaxation techniques on the psychomotor functions of patients with Parkinson's disease was investigated from the resulting differences in the input and output values of the above-mentioned questionnaires. The results of the test scales did not contain statistically significant conclusions about the effect of relaxation techniques on the psychomotor status of patients with Parkinson's disease in the experimental group compared to the control group. At the same time, it was found that the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale is the most sensitive in relation to the evaluation of motor function of patients with Parkinson's disease.
