Anti -fungicide aditives for organic coatings

Abstract:

Biologické znečištění je závažný problém všech typů materiálů. Způsobuje korozi kovů a biodeterioraci dřeva, což s sebou nese závažné ekonomické, ekologické a konstrukční problémy. Po celou dobu bylo běžné chránit materiály před mikroorganismy toxickými sloučeninami. S nástupem ekologických opatření bylo však zjištěno, v jak velkém množství se tyto látky hromadí v životním prostředí, kde škodí jak necílovým organismům, tak i člověku. Proto se rozběhl výzkum na objevení nových, ekologicky přijatelných, ochranných metod. Toxické biocidy se v nich vážou do polymerních struktur, ve kterých můžeme lépe kontrolovat jejich výdej, kombinují se s jinými látkami, takže jejich množství se zmenšuje. Nebo se úplně vyřazují. V ochraně dřeva můžeme používat oxidy kovů, které narušují enzymatickou rovnováhu mikroorganismů, antioxidanty nebo antagonisticky působící organismy. Kovy dobře ochrání tzv. Fouling-Release nátěry, které svým hladkým povrchem zabraňují uchycení mikroorganismů.

Abstract:

Biological pollution is a serious problem for all types of materials, because it causes corrosion of metals and biodeterioration of wood, and lead to serious economic, environmental and structural problems. All the time, it was common to protect the materials by toxic compounds. It was discovered results from environmental progress that these compounds is accumulating in environment, where it damage non-target organism and human. Therefore it started to research new ecologically friendly, protective methods. Toxic biocides are bound in polymer structures, hence we can control much better their amount. Biocides react with other compound and therefore their amount is decreasing or completely discarding. Oxides of metals are used for preservation of wood, which damage enzymatic equilibrium of microorganism. Other compound with the similar application are antioxidants or antagonistic organisms. Metals can be protected by Fouling-Release coatings because of their smooth surface protect material from attachment of microorganism.
